Amazing “The Best of South Africa” -Alheit-Sadie-Mullineux-
Lunch Tasting and Afterparty last week with different wines and champagnes @avalonwijnenspijs hosted by @dennis.repkes and @mausigny last week.
Such a privilege to be able to taste ( and of course drink) this line up and learn from Dennis and Maurice about all these wines and vintages.
And let’s not forget about the lunch!
For example this ravioli, chard, bacon cream, anchovies, unforgettable good! Tasting the dishes with the wines made the difference between the more gastronomic and the more “accessible”wines and vintages very clear.
My personal highlight of the tasting ( as if it is even possible to choose between all these exceptional wines ) was the Kokerboom 2017 by @sadiefamilywines Usually a little shy to share my opinion but now I almost shouted “ooooohhhh dit vind ik echt heel heel heel lekker”!
The same with the @gaspardbrochet Lion and the Valentini Trebbiano d’Abbruzo 2013 at the afterparty.
